Therapeutic Services
Psychiatric Care
In some cases it may be necessary for a child or adolescent to receive psychiatric services in order to provide better care and intervention. Ravenhill offers limited psychiatric diagnostic and evaluation services. Referrals will be made on the client’s behalf to other providers in cases where ongoing and intensive psychiatric care is indicated.

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is facilitated by mental health professionals with specialized training. Clients will be matched with a therapist who is proficient in treating the target issues faced by the client. Individual therapy typically involves a weekly 45 minute session.

The treating mental health professional works with the client to accomplish identified goals. Treatment is guided by the client and treatment plan. Movement toward the attainment of goals will be addressed through the utilization of indicated treatment modalities.
Group Therapy
Group therapy affords clients the opportunity to work with and learn from each other. This service provides clients a safe environment absent social stigma or ridicule. Depending upon the type of group, assignments may be given to enhance the experience and expedite learning and recovery. Group therapy is preferably co-facilitated by two mental health professionals. The average size of group is between 10-12 members.

Family Therapy
Family therapy is conducted by a mental health professional who respects unique familial integrities. Family members are encouraged to participate with identifying goals from the outset of treatment. Family decision making is utilized to assist both the child and family in creating objectives designed to meet family members’ needs.
