Case Managers act as advocates for the at-risk youth and their families; provides mentoring in order to assist in the development of appropriate competencies to bolster decision making, pro-social, academic, and employment skills. Case Managers additionally assist youths and their families in accessing community support and additional services if needed. Case Managers maintain regular contact with referring agents and provide monthly reports and attend court proceedings as needed. They are on-call 24 hours daily.
Ravenhill provides supportive aftercare treatment to adolescents who have been released from a residential treatment facility, group home, or hospitalization. The goal of this service is to provide the adolescent with guidance during community reintegration. Our focus is to promote healthy living, wellness and safety for the adolescent and the community.
Psychosocial education is provided to individuals and families in order to promote awareness regarding unhealthy relationships and maladaptive behaviors. As individuals become aware of such dynamics in their relationships they are able to understand the impact and work toward change. Psychosocial education is provided to individuals and families through the course of therapeutic treatment. Educational services are offered to individuals who engage in maladaptive behaviors, as well as individuals and family members who are impacted by such relationships and behaviors.
Psychosocial evaluations are conducted by a specifically trained clinician to examine an individual’s acquisition of and engagement in maladaptive and abusive behaviors. These evaluations assist supervising agents in determining the appropriate interventions required to address the needs of the individual and promote safety to those affected by the behaviors.
Safety assessments are useful in assisting supervising agents in determining the appropriate level of contact between individuals who have been engaged in unhealthy and abusive relationships. A specifically trained clinician will interview the involved individuals in order to determine each individual’s and the system’s readiness for contact.
In situations where appropriate readiness has been determined, the clinician will work with the individuals and supervising agents to develop a Safety Plan. This plan will provide specific rules and guidelines for contact.
Ravenhill has a team of specially trained clinicians who facilitate family reunification and reconciliation. This process is victim-centered and provided in addition to therapeutic intervention and safety planning. The purpose is to provide structure and guidance to families, as well as promote support and safety for victims.
